Three new buildings at Brno University Hospital—the Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinic (GPK), the Institutional Pharmacy, and the Cardiovascular and Transplant Surgery Center (CKTCH)—bring a modern architectural solution that complements and expands the existing hospital complex. The project focuses on functionality, simple forms, and a harmonious appearance, emphasized by ceramic façade cladding and a unified design

The new buildings are designed to expand and modernize the hospital’s infrastructure. Each building serves a specific function:

GPK, the largest building, has nine above-ground and two underground floors. It houses gynecological and neonatology outpatient clinics, operating rooms, inpatient wards, and educational spaces. The ceramic-panel and glass façade creates an elegant and durable appearance. The ground floor public areas include a café and waiting rooms.

The Institutional Pharmacy is a five-story building connected to existing hospital structures. It includes medical material storage, clean-room laboratories, pharmaceutical preparation areas, offices, and technical facilities. The layout is designed for operational efficiency and functional integration with the hospital.

CKTCH is a six-story building with three underground levels, designed for modern medical operations. It integrates commercial, administrative, and medical spaces, with a façade combining ceramic cladding and elements supporting biodiversity. Vertical greenery enhances both aesthetics and microclimate.

All three buildings share a cohesive architectural language and respect the urban relationships within the hospital complex. The combination of modern construction technologies, green spaces, and urban planning ensures a functional and aesthetically pleasing environment, ready for future development.
