Regional Hospital Náchod – Modernization and Completion, Náchod
The design for Pavilion D at Náchod Regional Hospital involves the construction of a modern eight-story building that integrates into the existing hospital complex, connecting individual pavilions through a central hall and linking bridges. The project reflects the sloping terrain and ensures the smooth operation of hospital services.

The new Pavilion D is a key step in the modernization of Náchod Regional Hospital. Located in the northern part of the campus, it replaces the demolished buildings D and E and aligns with the street line of Nemocniční Street. The eight-story structure, with three partially embedded levels and five above-ground floors, effectively utilizes the sloped terrain. The highest floor is set back on the northern side, ensuring harmonious integration into the surroundings.
A central hall, rising up to three stories above neighboring pavilions, connects existing buildings A, B, and K with the new Pavilion D. This new communication axis ensures smooth movement for patients, staff, and logistics. The main entrance to the building will be through the entrance hall of Building B, while the fourth floor will feature a separate entrance for hemodialysis and supply logistics.
The design also includes a service yard at the first-floor level and integration with the hospital's surrounding infrastructure. The overall concept prioritizes functionality, logical construction phasing, and respect for the site's urban character. The new Pavilion D will provide modern facilities and significantly enhance healthcare services for both patients and staff.
